Welcome! Great to hear there's a local shop, I'll definitely check it out sometime soon.

Hopefully this coming week I'll look into planning an event, I'll be in touch with you soon about it.

Next snow storm there's going to be some urban sessions going down in Boulder for sure!

Hey Steve,

Glad to hear from you! I just snowskated A-Basin on Sunday actually, and am probably going up again this weekend. As soon as the snow starts, I'll probably have a pretty decent course built in my yard up in Nederland as well.

I have a feeling this is going to be an excellent year. I can't wait to film some 'street skating' once Boulder gets dumped on.

Once we get some snow, we'll definitely get together and do some riding. Maybe we should even organize a CO snowskate event of some sort, see if we can get more than 4 people to show up. haha

Well holy shit, not sure how I missed this post for this long.

Welcome Steve! There's a sizable Boulder snow-skate crew, we skate El Do a fair bit, as well as the five mountains and pretty much any other resort. We haven't done much local skating so far this year, mainly mountain riding.

Got any pics or vids of you skating? You should throw them up.

Next time Boulder gets a big dump, we should hook up on here and do some urban skating.

I'm going to try it by hand myself for the first time tonight. I ordered a Dakine Deluxe Tune kit , they're pretty nice. My former roommate was a ski instructor and that's what he used.

I'll let you know how it goes. I might even post some pictures, and tips if I learn any.

Mt. Snowsk8r Begun! posted on 2007-10-16 18:10:50

boulder_local has loaned me two of his rails, and construction has begun on Mt. Snowsk8r! We have five acres of wooded mountain to build and ride on. I took some 'before' pictures this morning, I'll post them as well as some pictures of the rail and stuff in just a few days.

We got four inches of snow over the weekend! It looks like the season is going to be starting very early for us this year. I can't wait!

I just went shopping online today, and to get a good GNU board (like the board in the logo graphic) is like $330! I was hoping to buy one this week, but it looks like it may have to wait another month or so.

Quit yer bitchin', you're getting FREE replacements.

I'm not denying I destroyed your property, though I doubt it, whateva. I'm denying that no one else helped in said destruction.

Screw you Al! LOL There were plenty of people riding your board that day, it could have been any/everyone. Quit riding Mervin's private areas, and ride some snow instead!

Snowsk8r.com is an attempt to create an active online community in the early stages of the sport, snow skating. My first introduction to snowskating was this winter, and it's a blast! So feel free to use this site to discuss, post pictures of, and find other people who enjoy, snowskating.
